After debating what to do, I finally pulled into your lot and desperately asked for help. One of the gentlemen in the service bay (and I'm so sorry I don't have his name) ended up taking a look for me, and had the mechanics give me some fresh oil so I could get on my way. Based on my experience at Jones Toyota, I would definitely buy my next vehicle there if I lived a little closer to Belair. Everyone was friendly and professional, and there was a good vibe in the building. The salesmen, service technicians and everyone in between seemed to be in a good mood. While in the waiting room, I watched a young lady stock (and re-stock) the snack area and clean the restrooms as if she were in a race. What stood out, though, is that - during the entire time that she was working - she happily interacted with various Jones employees and took the time to entertain a small child in the waiting area! One of the owners walked through the waiting area, introduced himself (Danny), and asked how everyone was doing…. It's rare to find a large company with such a warm, family atmosphere.

If I'm not able to afford the services during that visit, he explains any safety concerns and recommends a time of when that service should be done to avoid any costly future repairs. I retired after 30 years of service and moved from Maryland to North Carolina last year. As such, I am no longer living locally to bring this vehicle in myself for service. However, I was fortunate to be connected to Mr. Gilbert to discuss and remedy repairs for the Scion. Having been involved directly in the promotion of over 1,000 officers during my career, one tends to be able to assess the moral fiber of a man very quickly. I was very impressed with Sean's willingness and ability to provide the needed repairs and the creativity to help reduce the cost for my daughter by using less expensive parts where possible and providing expert advice on the process of doing that.
In today's fast pace, it is rare to find an individual who really knows the value of "service" to a customer. Although I am not familiar with car sales, I would expect that you sell more cars to repeat customers actually as a result of good service from your service department. In this case, that service was beyond my expectation, and it was and will be a pleasure to continue to work with Mr. Gilbert.
