Get ready for the redesigned 2020 Toyota Highlander!

Toyota unveiled the redesigned 2020 Toyota Highlander to much press fanfare at the New York Auto Show back in April. This newest iteration of the popular Highlander definitely had cameras snapping, and there are a lot of changes to get excited about. We're sure when the 2020 Highlander starts arriving at our Bel Air MD dealership in December - right before the holidays - that it'll be an immediate hit! Here are some details for you eager readers.

Style: if you already own a Highlander then you know it's quite the head-turner whether you're in downtown Baltimore or Cockeysville. For the next generation it's getting bolder styling, including strong character lines that hint to an aesthetic from another era. Inside the Highlander remains just as handsome, but there is a feature that'll take center stage. See below.

Convenience Technology: most Highlander trims have an 8-inch touchscreen, and we think that's an industry standard for models that want to woo techy customers in a competitive market. However, the Highlander Platinum trim gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen - the largest in its class - and it's sure to get all your passengers talking when they climb aboard! We also think you'll love the improved JBL® speaker system that has 1200-watts of pure audio bliss that you can enjoy as you leave the office and head home to Lutherville-Timonium.

Enhanced Safety: Toyota Safety Sense 2.0™ is standard on all trims, and with this updated package you'll get two new features. Along with the four other technologies you'll also find lane tracing assist and road sign assist.

Better Performance: the V6 engine is still the same (295 horsepower, 263 lb-ft torque, and you can tow up to 5,000 pounds), though there is an updated Dynamic Torque Vectoring All-Wheel Drive and Multi Terrain Select system. Where we see the most exciting engine changes is on the hybrid, as engineers have managed to make it 17% more efficient! Get ready to drive around to all the parks and reservoirs in Parkville MD while barely making the fuel gauge move! The Hybrid version will start arriving a few months later in February 2020.

We cannot wait for the 2020 Toyota Highlander and its redesigned glory to arrive! If you cannot wait, or if you want to get competitive savings, stop in and shop our current 2019 Toyota Highlander selection.
